Are we telling anyone about our treatment?

Question

So we did this poll in a previous group and I was fascinated by the results! Plus it allowed us to really open up and get to know one another on a more personal level. 
So, if you're up for sharing, who are you telling and why? Why not?

I've told my family and friends and some coworkers (who knew something was going on and asked if I was ok (all the appointments/missed work). I think it's good to talk about it. I was suprised with how many people opened up about their own struggles and Ivf successes! A girl at my gym actually has 2 sons via IVF and offered to be a support line if I needed. When I got pregnant the people closest to me that have been checking up on me regularly knew and when I lost the baby they were there for me as well. Communication has been a good tool for me personally :)

We told family, close family. I regret it. My mom likes to get sympathy so I just found out this past weekend she has been telling people! I’m livid. So I told everyone that we decided to stop for awhile and focus on adoption. I just don’t want everyone’s damn opinion and suggestions on how to get pregnant. I wish i didn’t tell a soul.

I am not telling a soul. I told my immediate family and my best friends about my IVF. When I got pregnant I was over the moon, but, I still kept that circle of information very small. I told my parents and my best friend. My husband told his aunt and some guys at work (his parents are deceased-- 2019 sucked). When I lost it, I was so devastated. I told my circle via text message and turned my phone off for a few days. 
When I turned it back on, my mom, whom I love but had no capacity for empathy in this respect, told me she'd understand if I stopped trying. 
So, we have 3 embabies in the freezer and decided not to tell a soul. Everyone thinks were waiting a few months to tie up some things.

We haven’t told none of our family! I mentioned it to my mom awhile back because she’s the only person who knows about our situation! 
I have been married for 4 years and everyone is having babies left and right and my whole family is constantly asking when are we having kids 🙄 and that’s one of our main reasons why we aren’t telling anyone our business, but since my husband has low sperm count, he doesn’t want anyone to know his business. And I respect that as his wife 😊 although at times I wish I can tell my mom that we r doing this after all, but I would rather wait until we can confirm a pregnancy❤️❤️❤️

We told our parents and friends. My parents ended up telling my four siblings. I regret telling my parents but don’t regret telling my in laws, they are much more laid back. I don’t mind telling my friends, even after I had told them I was pregnant and the pregnancy ended. They are more of a support circle. My parents on the other hand are very emotional, and obviously told my siblings as well so that’s another issue and I wish we hadn’t told them. 
I think for us it just depended on the person.

We told my parents and close friends. At first we didn’t want to say anything but after having 2 failed iui’s and being on meds, not drinking etc everyone was asking questions. Anyway I’m more open thanksgiving my husband. His mom knows we are ttc but that’s it. I feel like it’s helped me to talk about things instead of keeping it all inside and surprisingly I’ve gotten so many positive words, and prayers from everyone that I just know our baby is on its way very soon! 💖🙏

We told our friends and some family. My mother thinks it’s a waste of money and we should keep on trying on our own, while his mother is clueless but wants us to produce babies as soon as possible because her friends already have older grand babies 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’ve told probably more people than I should have. 
Originally only our parents knew. Then we told siblings. 
Then I opened up to a friend at work who told me herself and 5 other people in our department has gone through either IVF or some sort of fertility treatment. She actually referred me to my current specialist. And once she told me about the others- it kind of opened up even more and I started talking to others about it that could relate to me. 
Next thing I know - pretty much everyone in my life knows. Only a select few will know the date of transfer and whether or not it’s a success but at this moment, I am happy to have such a big support system. 
I am just scared that if none of the transfers work that it will be hard to talk about and explain but it’s a bit too late to change who knows so hopefully it doesn’t screw us over. Regardless, if the transfers don’t work I’ll be devastated whether people know or not so I may as well embrace my support system.
