Has anyone gone into labor while they were at home withh their other child/children?

What did you do? Did you take your kid to the hospital with you?

Thankfully labor is a slow and drawn out process. Once labor starts and you are feeling consistent contractions you can call someone and should have enough time to get all of that figured out!

We dropped off my child with grandma and went to the hospital.

I didn’t realize it but I went into labor the night before we went to the hospital.  I had my 17 month old at home and my husband had left for work already. I suspected my water had broken already so I wanted to go to the hospital even though my contractions where quite close enough yet.   He got home and watched #1 so I could shower and get my hospital bag together.  We then each drove a car to my parents house and then he took my to the hospital. It was close to 2.5 house between the time I realized I was in labor to actually getting to the hospital.   I don’t remember much about what I did for #1 that morning but thankfully it was kind of right away in the morning.  Worst case scenario this time around we can just take the kids to the hospital and my Mom or MIL can met us there and take the kids.

My husband called my SIL to come and watch them( i had 2 girls already they where 2,5 yo and 1,5 yo) and he came upstairs where i gave birth an hour later to our boy🥰 (at home)

Following! I have a three year old son and if I go into labor while he’s at work I don’t know what I’m gonna do! I don’t really have family around. Some days when my SO goes to work he goes in to granite sheds where he has no service for hours. I’d have to call his boss to ask where he’s at lol

I put my son in the playyard while I was waiting for my husband and sister to show up... It went pretty fast... and I was not going to chase him lol

With my 2nd (2yrs ago) I started having contractions at 5am. (Husband left for work bc I thought it was just Braxton hicks) around 10am they were getting stronger so he came home around 12pm. We dropped my daughter off with my mom and went to the hospital around 1pm. I was 4cm dilated and our 2nd little girl was born about 6hrs later 🥰
