std testing

ladies. i’ve had a reoccurring bv(about 4 times now) with my only symptom being smell. i’ve been sexually active with my boyfriend for about a year now (both protected and unprotected) and was looking to get a std test done just in case. i have a local planned parenthood near me and have gone to them multiple times before. i went to book an appointment and the soonest one is a month away. i don’t know if i should ask my mom, and have that awkward conversation especially because she doesn’t know we have unprotected sex. should i just wait the month or suck it up and tell my mom?

Also, do y’all have any tips to get rid of bv and make it not come back? thank you!
