Baby Shower - What to buy?

I’m weird about people buying me things so part of me feels bad even having a shower. Also, I want to start filling the babe’s room up! So just curious - What did you buy on your own vs. waited to see if you got it at your shower?

I don’t feel bad. I’m putting probably like $200 into this shower and having a couple prizes and having a meal for everyone. 
Most of the items I have listed are $50 and under, like 2 $50-100 and one $100+ item (a bassinet) 
I’ve bought my own car seats, crib, changing table, swing, which were more expensive. 
Most of the stuff on my list is just diapers, wipes, small toys, and big toys like an exersaucer and rocker. I also told people to feel free to buy stuff used.

So I put a lot of stuff on my registry even though I hate people buying stuff for me. 
Reason being is I get 15% off everything on my registry after my shower and money saved is money saved! People can feel free to purchase whatever they want from there

We bought the crib, stroller, car seat, mamaroo soother, dresser and some clothes we are waiting to see what else we get off of our baby registry at our shower

I mainly bought things that were the most expensive on my own purposely. I am too weird about people buying me things. I bought the stroller, car seat and nursery furniture on my own. Then I put a lot of little things on the registry for people to buy like bottles, blankets, onesies etc.

I bought everything nursery wise (big furniture and decor) and some clothes. Waiting to see what we get from the shower before I spend any more $$$ on stuff.

I have already gotten bigger sizes clothes(mostly from second hand shops like once upon a child), one pack of pacifiers, started stocking up on wipes from the start. I had a bunch of coupons from target that expire on Halloween so I’ve used a few of those on bottles, dish soap, a crib sheet, and baby lotion.
