Trying to conceive

I’m 38 and I’ve never gotten pregnant. Found out last year both my tubes were blocked, had surgery May 21st to unblock my tubes, my doctor was able to unblock the left tube. He told me to give it 6 months and if I still wasn’t pregnant he’d do another HSG test. Well 2 days ago I noticed Aunt Flo hadn’t made her debut entrance! I was so excited. Wiped today and damn her stanking ugly self showed her face. I’m coming to ask when should I have sex and when do I know I’m ovulating? Do the calendar really do tell me when I’m ovulating. Can someone give me some tips and hints on wat I’m doing wrong or wat I should be doing. I’m so ready to be a mommy.
