What birth control are you ladies taking?

I was prescribed the mini pill Camila but reading the reviews and side effects I’m hesitant. Have any of you had any experience with this pill? I’m breastfeeding btw

I just had my 6 week postpartum check up and my ob told me that if I'm breastfeeding I cant take birth control (just condoms) and the only one I can take will cause me to bleed a lot so maybe that's the one you guys are talking about .. I'm so not ready for sex yet anyways my stitches area are still really sore but in the future I guess I wont be taking birth control and just using condoms =/

I’ve got the nexplanon. It’s supposed to be safe for breastfeeding. Had it for 1 week so far so I’m not sure yet how it will go! 🤞🏻😬

Condoms. After being on the pill for over a decade it took me three years to get pregnant. I will never take a hormone based contraceptive again- I just think it messed with my body’s natural chemistry too much.

I used the mini pill for several years, no side effects for me. I rarely had a period, too. You do have to make sure to take it at the same time every day in order to make sure it is most effective. If I forgot to take it at the same time, I would sometimes start spotting, which may be why some people are saying they are getting multiple periods a month. I think it’s worth a try for a little while to see how you like it. If you don’t like it or have side effects, you could always switch to something else 🙂

I took the mini pill with my first and it completely destroyed my milk supply.  I refuse to have that happen again while breastfeeding a preemie.  I’m not having sex yet (was just 6 weeks pp on Thursday) but my tubal ligation is scheduled for a few weeks from now.  If I have sex before then, we’ll use condoms AND pull lol.  
A hormone free option would be a copper iud.

I’m asking my doctor for a diaphragm. I’m not thrilled with the side effects of hormones (mostly weight gain) and I’d like one more baby before being done. And I like having control.

I was on the mini pill for 5 years before having my two sons and no side effects. I’ve been on it again for a month now after having my second son and I’m ebf and no side effects again.

I was prescribed camila and have been taking it for 8 days. Yesterday I started spotting and today it’s like I’m having my period. I am breast feeding and on blood pressure medication still from having preeclampsia at the end of my pregnancy and after her birth. 
I was really looking forward to not having a period for 8 months to a year and not sure if this will quickly pass but hoping so.
