OPK always negative😭

My opk are always negative! I thought they were starting to get darker but there was near enough no line today when I tested. I didn’t start testing until later on in the cycle I’m wondering if I could’ve already ovulated? My periods have been irregular the last couple of cycles too :( Any help please does this mean I might not have ovulated this month? feeling very disheartened!
