When to test

I have a couple apps for tracking my ovulation and period. One says test in 5 days. This app says 9. Yesterday I had spotting when I wiped. I don’t really know what cycle day I am. My period started the 25th of last month. And ended on the 28th. The only other time I’ve had spotting was when I had implantation with my daughter. Could this be our month? We’ve been trying for months now. When do you ladies think I should test? Thanks so much in advance. I’m still learning how to read these charts.
