My son's father and I split while I was pregnant. I had gotten with someone else after my son was born. My SO won't let me speak to my son's father. He talks to him instead. I accidentally called my son's father his dad last night and my boyfriend was not having that.. advice? Should I be able to talk to son's father?

You most definitely should be speaking with your sons father, there's absolutely no reason for you to not be. Also, his dad is his dad, even if your SO came into the picture and wants to be the father figure

That sounds very controlling and sounds like he had trust issues he does not trust you  you should be the one dealing with your ex baby dad not him he needs to stay in his lane

Unless there is a history of abuse, why wouldn't you communicate with you're son's father? Why is your boyfriend talking to him and not you? Imagine how it would feel if you had to talk exclusively to you're ex's new girlfriend about issues and arrangements about your child. Open communication makes all the difference in these situations.

My ex is a narcissist but I still plan on communicating with him because he's my child's father regardless. Your bf is controlling and seems to be jealous of your ex.
