Are you less likely to tear with second birth?

I had my first daughter naturally 3 years ago and I’m pregnant again. I am absolutely terrified of needing stitches and tearing. I tore only slightly with her and I got away with no stitches. If it less likely you’ll tear with second or does it not make a difference and just depends on how birth goes? I have such anxiety thinking about it that it absolutely petrifies me!!!

Tearing has so many factors, how baby comes out (head position and speed) it’s better to wait for fetal ejection reflex instead of coaches pushing, panting and slowly letting baby stretch you instead of push through the burn. Spinning babies and miles circuit are great for perfect head positioning.

It's less likely, but it also depends on how the birth goes. I really understand the fear. I'm super sensitive to pain, and I hate when people tell me things doesn't hurt, but it really doesn't. They numb you with a spray and you can't feel it at all.

I got 2nd degree tears with both, and I didn't know until after they said I was all stitched up. I recall they said they numb it up before stitching.

I needed two stitches with my first and I didn’t tear at all with my second! Only 2.5 minutes of pushing too vs 30 min with my first. I had way extra fluid with my second and they had created a small break in my water instead of straight up popping it to lessen the risk of the cord wrapping around his neck, so he essentially rode a wave out of me 😂 came out so quick and the rest of my water exploded out behind him everywhere.
