Refusing crib

The past 4 nights my 7th month old has refused his crib. Yes he’s teething but he’s been teething for months. Took him to the doctors to rule out sickness because his voice also became a lot more raspy, perfectly healthy.. He will fall asleep in my arms on his own but about an hour after he’s in the crib he will wake up screaming and is only content next to us. I’ve tried putting him drowsy in the crib but he wakes up and screams. He’s never been like this and now I’m worried he’s going to get in the habit of sleeping with us and I’m not down for that.
