Did I experience my first kick?

I was 19 weeks and 2 days last night. When I was going to my couch to sit down, I felt a sharp hit towards my organs inside. It caught me off guard and my response was “ouch” for that fraction of a second that happened. Was that how a kick feels? I haven’t felt anything like that since then.
I am not sure abt movements. The past couple weeks I felt twinges and maybe gas? It’s my first pregnancy and no idea how a movement or even a kick feels?
Anyone have any insight on what last night could have been and how it’s supposed to feel?☺️

Maybe! It generally didn’t hurt for me until the third trimester when my son could reach my ribs.   I’m 17 weeks now, and I’ve been feeling this one for a couple weeks. It’s like little twitches and taps. They are fairly faint, but once you realize what they are, they are easier to distinguish from gas and all that. In a few weeks it’ll turn into a rolling, flopping fish feeling - at least for me. That’s the best way I can describe it.

At night, lay on your back and just relax and think about your stomach and see if you feel anything.

I’ve had that sensation before too! I personally don’t think it’s a kick, maybe something stretching in my belly. But this is my second pregnancy and I know what it feels like when she does kick. At this stage it shouldn’t hurt when they kick because they’re still little.

If you're that far along, and you think it was a kick, it probably was a kick lol. I felt something similar about two weeks ago, it just felt like a little smack in my lower abdomen and then an hour or so later, I felt it on my side when laying down. I haven't felt anything since, but that's normal. Kicks don't start to regulate until the 3rd trimester.
