Ok guys I’m freaking out which is not abnormal for me but my aunt gets cold sores. She doesn’t have any at the moment but I noticed tonight she cut off a piece off pie with her used fork and gave it to my son (not on her fork). I’ve never seen her share food with him before like that and I’ve actually never really seen her kiss him or even act like she would so it’s never been an issue in the past.. I didn’t say anything bc I didn’t even know if it was an issue and didn’t want to cause a scene (we love her to pieces and would never want to hurt her feelings or embarrass her either) but then I started googling and of course it says it can still spread without an out break. Her fork did not go in his mouth but it did touch the piece of pie she gave him. I can’t help but be super freaked out now. I don’t know 100% that she has hsv-1 or 2 but know she gets sores on her lip occasionally..rarely but still. I just feel sick about this.
