General anesthesia c section
So I’m scheduled on the 1st of November for my c section. (I will be 39 weeks and 3 days then) Unfortunately due to my spinal abnormalities they will not be giving me an epidural or spinal block. I would like to hear from you ladies who have had experiences with general anesthesia during c section, emergency or scheduled, what’s your take on it? Was it painful in anyway? How long did it take after your baby was removed till they reversed the anesthesia and you woke up? Was there a lot of pain afterwards? I need positive support, I just want it to be as smooth as possible, any tips? I will be breast feeding, so anything I should mention to the doctors before the procedure.
Update on how I’m feeling: I have occasional Braxton Hicks but I feel wonderful, I was just recently diagnosed with Polyhydramnios at 37 weeks but my obstetrician is not concerned since extensive tests have been done and no sign of abnormalities in fetus and she’s already measuring at 6 pounds and 8 ounces and I’m only 37 weeks. no aches or pains, she stays laying transverse since there is no possible way she can fit in my pelvis bc I have an abnormally narrow pelvis. Besides that it’s been a very smooth pregnancy, also my first child! I’m so excited to meet my little girl, Zoë <3
