baby food?

any babies eating baby food yet? my sons apt is wednesday and i’m a little tempted to give him a taste of his baby food since he stares at us eat ALL THE TIME

I started my baby on oatmeal cereal, natural bananas and apple not baby food in a jar like gerber or beechnut and so far she's really enjoyed it.

It's totally up to you and possible your baby's ready but bear in mind that staring is usually the first sign for all babies. Ours stares too, but never tried to grab or open his mouth. He's also a good but not great sitter and he's still satisfied by my milk so I'm holding off. Try to wait until your baby shows ALL the signs of readiness, not just the most common first sign. We started oatmeal at about 4.5 months old. These past like 4 days, we started doing just a tablespoon nightly, mostly for spoon practice. Tonight she was able to open her mouth for a spoon and make the least amount of mess thus far 😂 
I made 3 batches of baby food today but only because we had fresh apples. I won’t start her with purées for another few weeks probably. But I did give her the tiniest taste of fresh applesauce today 🤪

My pediatrician gave us the green light for stage 1 foods. My son loves the veggies

Mine is. My pediatrician recommend starting with rice cereal. She hates it. But we did green beans and carrots and she loves those. Hates peas.
