2 weeks postpartum

Rachelle • Boy mom 💙

I found out I was pregnant in Jan of 2019, with my 3rd baby. In December of 2018, I had decided to take my health more seriously and lose weight, so it was sort of a cosmic joke that I would be pregnant a month later. With my pregnancies, I get HG so I knew the weight loss would happen, but not the way that I wanted it to. Between Dec-Jan I went from 178lbs to 165lbs with diet and exercise. At my first OB appt I was 165, and by 20 weeks I had dropped to 140lbs. At full term, I weighed 162lbs. Now, two weeks postpartum, I weigh 141lbs. I didn’t lose the weight the way I wanted to, but I plan on continuing to eat healthy and start exercising again once I am cleared. I also have gallstones (they say because of the pregnancy but I think it’s from the crazy weight loss), so I’m kind of forced to eat healthier and stay away from fatty foods to avoid agonizing pain.

In Dec, I took “before” pictures to keep myself accountable. Because I was so sick during my pregnancy, I didn’t keep up with pictures really, but I wanted to compare with how I look now and I’m shocked. I honestly can’t believe I let myself go as much as I did. I can’t wait to tone up and feel more comfortable in my skin again, any tips on how to get rid of love handles? 😂

Left is in Dec of 2018, when I decided to start dieting and exercising. Right is me at 2 weeks postpartum. I want to hold myself more accountable, so I’m documenting everything as I go. 💪🏻
