Wondering if I should even bring this up

Okay so my boyfriend and I will be spending our first Christmas together ( last year I visited my family) so I was excited about decorating and cooking and planning everything out (I know it is early) I am not big on buying stuff and spending a lot of money I just want to have a peaceful Christmas with him and our dog. So I was talking to him about decorations and he had mentioned that he has a tree in the shed and he had it for a few years and I realized it is the one that he got with his ex I don’t know how I feel about having something that he shared memories with his ex in the house I mean we already have it and we wouldn’t have to spend any money but I just don’t like the idea of the stuff they picked out together in the house idk should I even bring it up or should I just accept that we both have pasts and try to not feel weird about it idk am I over reacting and if I should bring it up how should I do it
