Made it worse literally the second she came out tbh.  I had severe postpartum depression. She's now 4 months and everything is so much better. No one really tells you how overwhelming the newborn stage is. But it does end and does get better. I had a good support system. Talk to someone when you feel stressed or overwhelmed. That's not something I'm good at so that was hard.

I had a really hard time. Honestly, it took a full year to come out of the fog. I tried to handle it by myself. I'm pregnant again and started feeling bad from the beginning which was a big surprise since with my first it was only postpartum. I went straight to my doctor and we have put together a plan with many steps for now and if needed in the future. thankfully This doctor is taking it all very seriously and I do feel a bit better. The best advice I can give is to surround yourself with as much support as possible both professional and personal. Be aware and as prepared as possible but also be patient with yourself and what you are going through. Oh and also, try and make sure your SO goes to these appointments to help him/her understand as much as possible. After my husband heard the doctor talk about postpartum he seems alot more comfortable in understanding. Once he understood more about what was happening he really was able to step up and be a big help.

I put made it worse, considering I had a pretty bad case of postpartum depression and had to had been hospitalized for two months bc of it. Other than that, I actually came out stronger on the other side. It also didn’t just happen overnight though and I had to work at it and to get better.

I was happy my baby was here. It was my child’s father and my mother who stressed me out and the lack of help. I was really going through.
