Cricut?! Which one?!

Question

My fiancé has been asking me what I want for Christmas and I’ve finally came to my decision, a cricut! Buuuuut I don’t know the first thing about them. Help a momma out! 
Good idea? 
Anything better? 
Which one should I get?

If you don't want to do anything complicated or modify the designs, the cricut will work. If you want to have more control over the designs and don't mind a learning curve of sorts with the software, the silhouette is far and away the better program. I have the silhouette for my business and I LOVE it. Also with the cricut you can only run the software through their website. So if you have internet issues or their website is down you are sol. The cameo 4 just came out and I'm hoping to save up for one soon!

I second the silhouette! I had Cricut before and didn't like the program. (This was years ago though and the machines have definitely changed.) We've created a lot of things with our silhouette though. Plus Amazon has it with a deal. So you get 12x12 vinyl sheets and markers.

I got a silhouette cameo3 a couple of months ago and love it. They're tricky machinery, but that's just bc I havent had the real opportunity to mess with it. But so far I've made my husband a truck decal. And almost all the decorations for my sons birthday, including a shirt. For years I've always wanted a cutting machine, and silhouette was the only brand I've been interested in.
