My son is 3 years old and spitting like crazy!! Is this normal?

We’re dealing with some very defiant behavior and spitting is a huge issue here. Is this normal? I thought 2 was hard but age 3 is kicking my tail :(

I feel 3 is worse personally. My daughter doesn’t spit on me or anything when mad, but I find her just spitting randomly on the floor. Or she spits in her hands and puts it on things. She put spit in her sisters hair when I’m not looking 😫

My son doesn’t spit at people but he is constantly spitting out of his mouth so it is dripping down his chin. It’s so gross because he wipes it off with his hand or sleeve. I am constantly telling him spitting is yucky and please do not spit.
