When can I have sex?

I’m almost 2 weeks after having a c section. Can I still get an infection? Before having the c section I was only half a centimeter dilated. Would having sex tonight after my hubby gets off work cause an infection? Or do you think I’m clear to jump on him when he gets home 😩

You’re definitely not in the clear before speaking with your doctor.
The issue isn’t really your cervix, it’s the giant gaping wound in your uterus from where the placenta was attached.
If you feel up to doing it sooner than 6 weeks, talk to your doctor about it and have them check you out/clear you for sex!

I would wait.   You were basically cut in two.  I’d be more worried about ripping open your incision then infection.  There’s a reason they tell you to wait.

Don’t have sex until your doctor tells you that you’re clear to.. Of course you are at risk for infection. Especially only 2 weeks PP 😐 I didn’t even try to have sex til 8 weeks after my c section.

I wouldn’t do it. You could hurt your incision. I had a c section and there is no way my incision was ready by week 2.

Did you have a 2 week follow up after your c section? Mine okayed me after 2 weeks at my appointment (I was pretty surprised honestly) but I was still having some bleeding and was still pretty sore so now at 3 weeks I’m just starting to warm up to the idea but I think it’s still going to be at least a few more days personally. Definitely check with your doctor first.
