40w1d update: induction booked

RL

I had a midwife appointment yesterday and she tried to do a sweep but she couldn't do it because wasn't dilated at all, but she said my cervix was "very thinned out". This is my first baby, and she said it is common to efface first then dilate if you are a ftm. I've been having false labour for 2 weeks most evenings so I really thought I'd be dilated 2-3cm :(

She booked me in for induction on 3rd November! What can I do to avoid this 😩. I've tried hot curry, walking, bouncing on the ball, raspberry leaf tea, eating dates...

What do you think my chances are of going into labour naturally before 3rd Nov? I know we can never tell... but has anyone had a 'sweep' but found to be not dilated and then went into labour shortly after?
