Baby only sleeps swaddled?!

Question

If you had a baby that would only sleep swaddled, how did you make the transition once they were too big for it? My baby has almost outgrown his swaddles and he won't sleep for more than 30 minutes at a time without being swaddled. I'm so not looking forward to when he either completely outgrows his swaddle or starts rolling over and I have to quit cold turkey.

I used the velcro swaddles and started with taking his arms out and then moved to a sleep sack.

We are using the baby Merlin magic sleep sack. It really is magic. She transitioned with zero issues.

I swaddled first 6 months then moved to a sleep sack.

I bought bigger swaddles. When she started rolling I just let her arms out. As long as it felt snug around her tummu she was good. Once she could roll onto her belly I would loosen it little by little until she didn't need it anymore. It was really easy once she could roll. She slept much better on her belly.

We transitioned to the love to dream swaddle, and then the nested sleep sack after that!

You could try getting the muslin swaddles ! I think those are pretty big
