Sleep training ?

Why do I need sleep training if my LO goes to sleep pretty much as soon as I put her in her bassinet ? I feed her and she falls asleep either on my breast or when I put her in her bassinet or crib within 5-10 min. Do some babies not go to sleep?? I guess I got lucky. I keep reading “sleep training” and crying it out. But she doesn’t cry. If she’s fed, clean diaper and comfortable, she doesn’t cry. I guess I don’t know what all this stuff means.

A lot of babies don’t sleep that easily, especially after the regression. If yours does, no need to sleep train. Many babies still have multiple wake ups at this age or don’t fall asleep that easily, and it’s totally normal, just some people choose to sleep train for better mom and baby sleep.

Well the main thing is that you don’t want your baby to be dependent on food to fall asleep! The main point of sleep training to so put them down awake so they learn to self soothe. 
We follow a strict “eat, play, sleep” routine so my he isn’t dependent on food to sleep!

From what I’ve seen on here there is a large spectrum of normal for babies. Our guy doesn’t cry either and always goes to sleep so we have no need to sleep train
