Confusing Pregnancy TW: mention of past miscarriage.

This baby has put me through it the past few weeks 😂. My HCG dropped early on in pregnancy and my OBGYN was positive it was going to end in another miscarriage since I had just had one in July. After my 2nd HCG draw I started bleeding so I went to the ER to see if they could see what was happening with the baby. I was measuring 5w 4d so they couldn’t find a heartbeat which is understandable. But once my HCG results came back, everyone was confused.

HCG #1 - 2,174 (Oct 2nd)

HCG #2 - 1,593 (Oct 4th)

the bleeding started between these

HCG #3 - 1,900 (Oct 8th ER)

Got an ultrasound Oct 18th and baby was measuring 6w 6d with a heart rate of 137. Also started progesterone that day. The bleeding completely stopped after first dose.

HCG #4 - 25,365 (Oct 24th ER)

Got an ultrasound that night and baby’s heart rate was 167. Measuring 7w 5d. I had intense cramping so that’s why I had to get checked.

Nobody could really tell me why my HCG had dropped and raised very slow at the start. All I know is that I feel blessed my baby is still alive and doing great. I was convinced I was going to have another miscarriage so I had already prepared myself mentally to lose the baby. It’s an emotional roller coaster. I’m not completely out of the woods yet but I’m being cautiously optimistic. I get another ultrasound Nov 4th to see if everything is still going well. Has anyone had something similar happen to them?
