Which formula?

As a ftm 34 + 6 weeks getting ready for baby to be here December 2nd for those who started out with formula what did you try first and did it work or did you have to switch?

I highly recommend HiPP.  But whatever you choose, get just 1 box to start with.  Maybe you’ll need hypoallergenic or reflux or just a diff brand that your LO will do better on.

In the NICU my baby had enfamil Nuero Pro....it smelled horrifying and the spit up was absolutely gross...
I continued breast feeding instead but didnt feel like she was getting enough & was completely exhausted so at night we supplement with enfmail gentlease... which was recommended to me by two people.
We noticed an immediate difference she was LESS fussy, slept longer and less crying.
We now have quite a bit of these neuro pro enfamil premade bottles from his sister so i wouldn’t recommend stocking up on any formula just in case baby doesnt like it

I stared with regular enfamil. After 7 formula changes we are using enfamil AR. Don’t stock up on 1 formula, most people change a few times

It all depends on your baby. I had to try a few before I settled with one. The enfamil gentle ease was my go to in the beginning. Your pediatrician should have several different sample cans they can give you to try out if your baby doesnt do well with one. In my case my daughter would projectile vomit after a feeding. We eventually settled on nutramigen which is a hypoallergenic formula cause we figured she had a cow milk allergy. Worked great.
