Sleeping with a lovey?

Does anyone let their LO sleep with a lovey? Mine has to hold something to fall asleep (usually it's my hand or finger which I love. But then he cries when i leave). Tonight i gave him his lovey to cuddle and he fell right asleep clutching it. I'm scared to let him sleep with it because of suffocation risks but I also feel like its a good self soothing object since he likes to hold onto something. So just wondering if anyone else does this.

I let mine sleep with a blanket because she loves to hold and snuggle it. Could you monitor while he falls asleep, then take it when he goes into a deep sleep?

My guy needs the same thing (usually my hand or finger) so I bought one about 2 months ago and it’s great!!

My little girl loves her unicorn lovey. We let her fall asleep with it but then i get nervous and take it away after she is sleeping good.

I let her nap with it. But at night, she will cry for maybe 2 minutes and then she’s out. I’m guessing it’ll happen in the future though.

My 3 year old started sleeping with a lovey around 6 months. She hated pacis and would try sucking on my shirts. I gave her a lovey, she shoved a corner in her mouth and passed out. She still sleeps with them at night (she has 2 and we used to rotate them until she found both one day). I think my youngest will like them too as he doesn’t like pacis either and likes to hold my hand or he rests his hand on his face to fall asleep. Tonight I tried to force his paci and he got mad, spit it out and pretty much instantly fell asleep 🤷🏻‍♀️.
