When buying clothes for children do you buy the correct size or a size too big?

When buying clothes for a young child do you usually buy them their size of clothes or a size too big? I buy a size too big that way they can keep it longer and grow into it.

Depends on what they need and for what season. I always feel bigger is better though. They grow into it eventually. But if I need stuff right away I buy it in they size they’re actually in. As for jackets, coats, and snow suits I always buy bigger so I can use them for more than one season.

Depends. If she's just moving into the next size up I'll buy that size, 9m for example. If she's halfway through the size range I'll start buying a size up. Also depends on the clothing items, she can wear larger shirts just fine, her pants are always a size behind, and her sleepers are the correct length but too baggy in her normal size so I usually size down.

It depends if they need the clothing right away and how close they are to growing out of it. I bought my son a jacket and I bought it a little bit because by the time it’s December/January, he’ll likely be bigger. But if he didn’t have any shirts that fit him, I’d get a few in his size and maybe a few that he could grow into.

I buy the correct size now that my kiddos are older.. they tend to wear them out pretty quickly lately. My son, I usually buy his shoes a half size bigger as he’s growing like crazy, he’s 12 size 9 men’s shoes. 
When they were younger I’d buy a size bigger.

I don’t have any kids but I buy clothes for my niece and nephew. I try to get clothes that will fit them in the moment but manly clothes that are too big so they grow into them.
