How often is okay?

Question

How often does every one spend some time away each week?  
My fiance of 3 years and I fight about this constantly.  I like to go spend time with my friends or family once a week and the rest of my free time is spent with him, but he always takes it as a dig that I am trying to just be away from him.
I want to hear how other relationships are.

Once a week is more than reasonable. I think it’s controlling to not let someone see anyone else once a week. It can be really unhealthy to ONLY spend time with your SO. I’m close with my family and no one will tell me I can’t spend time with them.

My husband and I were together all the time when we were dating. And same thing now. We never leave each others sides.

I don’t know it varies every week. I think it very healthy for couples to have time alone or apart.  There should be time away. Hell today my husband took our son to the zoo. I stayed home and had a nap. Tomorrow I’m going out with my mom. ￼

As often as you like is ok it’s your family he sounds a bit controlling, my husband and I love to spend as much time together as possible I’m a stay at home mom and he works crazy hours and he doesn’t care if I go to my moms house very single day or have her over or hang out town my brothers and their kids I do feel bad going out and doing things with the kids when he’s working I feel like he’s missing out but the boys and I can’t live locked up in the house waiting for his day off you know and they also need to interact with their family , very strange he would get upset at you for that

My husband and I didn’t live together until we were married. And we lived 45 minutes apart for the almost years we were together before getting married. 
I think it’s perfectly fine and healthy to not be with him 24/7 that you’re available to be. You both have your own things and as you should.

We are barely around eachother he’s always at work and will get the odd weekend off so during the days while he’s at work I go do my own thing with our son, see family, go shopping, walk to the park ect before we had our son it was like this as well but we were both working. We miss eachother but that’s life

I spend as much time with my husband as possible. I'm all for my husband spending time with his friends and family (not like he does) alone but within reason. I often got left at home alone and he would spend every single weekend out and it was awful for me because I was home alone.
I never told him he couldn't visit people. I just didn't want him to spend all day and all night with people while I was at home waiting for him.
Luckily he outgrew that horrible stage where he didn't want to be home as much as he wanted to be out.
For each couple it's different. I don't necessarily feel it's important to have time apart every week, personally. That seems a bit excessive to me.

Whenever we want? We like having lunch/dinner dates with our siblings we always go alone. If we wanna tag along cool, but we normally go by ourselves. Same with friends, he goes out when he wants and I’ll go the next day or week or whatever. We take turns since we have a daughter.

My husband is in car sales so we have a schedule that works for us. He has off one week day and one weekend day while both my days off are on weekends. 
Saturday’s are my day to have with friends or going to my parents and Thursday’s are his days to do the same. Then on Sunday’s we spend our day together. (We also have a couple nights during the week for dinner together). 
When we had the exact same schedule, we would have half a day Saturday to ourselves. He would golf and I’d hang out with a friend. Then we would have the evenings to spend time together. If he didn’t golf we probably would’ve spent the entire time together but I hate golf and want him to keep his hobby 😊
