Septum piercing pain

I got my septum pierced in the beginning of August and it still hurts really badly every time I get near my nose. It's so bad that I can't even blow my nose without it causing me pain so bad that I need to stop what I'm doing for a few seconds. It feels like it hasn't improved at all since it was pierced...Is this normal? Does anyone have any ideas on how I could make it hurt less?
