Do you have a friend like this?

Question

Anyone else have a friend who freaks out over every day symptoms thinking they’re pregnant? 
We’ve been TTC for over 3 years and I have a friend who’s only been for 4 months. She knows how long we’ve been and how difficult it’s been. She messages me every other day literally about symptoms. Then when her period comes she’s devastated. 
I haven’t know her a very long time so I don’t know how to tell her she needs to be more understanding of us and our journey.

I’ve learned over time you just have to be straight up. When I was pregnant with my first son, a longtime/high school friend of mine was messaging me every other day asking about potential symptoms, this and that. It really started to effect me that she never asked how me or the baby was and I was already pregnant, however she expected me to be there for her 24/7. Eventually I had kind of had enough and after multiple failed attempts to explain how I felt, I cut her out my life. However, since then she has done a LOT of maturing and realized that she really was the large majority of the issue in our friendship. She has since been such an amazing friend to me. She’s always calling and checking on me and the boys (now expecting our second). I think that you just have to explain to people how they’re affecting you and if they care to change, they will. If not, you’re ridding yourself of someone who only causes stress in your life. It’s important to be a good friend, but it’s also important to surround yourself with good friends as well. Good luck with TTC! I always tell people I believe it will happen at the perfect time, even if it doesn’t seem like the perfect timing at first. I would’ve liked to wait to have children, but my son saved me from a bad path. It will happen when it’s most meant to be 💙💗!

I would just tell her you can’t be her ttc buddy. I was fortunate to get minimal unsolicited advice, but not people venting to me who were new to ttc. I bonded with friends who had struggled or are currently struggling.
