Worried about baby, any encouragement ?

Has any one else been tested for strep B? I’m pretty sure with my first baby I was just tested a few weeks before the due date. But I was tested a couple of weeks ago, had it and took antibiotics, and just tested positive for it again. 
I’m sad that for this pregnancy I’ve already had to use Monistat for a week for a yeast infection and now a second dose of antibiotics. I’m worried for my baby. 
With my first baby, I didn’t have any issues all pregnancy, thank God. I don’t want anything to hurt this baby 😢
Anyone else gone through anything similar?

You’re baby is fine they just give you antibiotics when you go into labor that’s all if you have other concerns talk to your doctor

I haven’t been through this but I’m 99.9% sure everything will be ok don’t worry too much as worrying won’t help you x everything will be ok have a chat with your dr if your really really worried x

I tested positive for strep B at my 8 week booking appointment (found it in my urine) I’m now 22 weeks and haven’t had any problems, I’ve just been told I need antibiotics during labour

You can refuse the test and refuse the antibiotics. 
I did. 
Strep b is a normal bacteria present in the vagina. It has a 4-6 week life cycle. Meaning depending when in the cycle you are and when you test it may not be present at the time of birth. Or you can test negative and it be present at birth.
It is a risk to a very small percent of babies, these babies require treatment with antibiotics when they show symptoms of infection eg. High temp. If you refuse the test they will monitor baby slightly closer (4 hourly observations) for the first few days. 
However - I understand you feel more confident having the antibiotics to help reduce the risk further. Antibiotics will not harm you or your little one when taken correctly and for the right reasons.
