What is everyone’s experience with stretch and sweeps?

Question

Getting checked and a stretch and sweep on Thursday, November 7th. I live about 2 hrs away from the city I am delivering in so I’m wondering if I should have everything with me at that appointment and plan to stay in that city? Or if it’s not worth it to stay?

With my first I had it done at 37 weeks 4 days. My water broke 2 days later. I went in, they said it wasn’t my water sent me home. 
But at my 38 week appointment turns out it WAS my water lol. Had him at 38 weeks 4 days.

Well, with my first, I had it done at 41 weeks. It did nothing and I had to be induced. With this baby, I had it done at 38 weeks, 39 weeks, and will again today at 40 weeks. So far it has done nothing but increased the mucus discharge that is gross. 😭😭 I'll be scheduling an induction for next week most likely.
