ivf in dec or jan?

so at first i was going to do ivf in jan..but they got a cancelation in dec..so i was wondering if i do it on december u think they guna rush things since is  close to holidays? anybody done it in december? i mean i will ask my doctor but wana get opinions cause its my first time and idk how it will work..thanks!

As someone else said, nothing can be rushed because the entire process is dictated by your cycle. To me, the ultimate question is whether you are willing to wait another month. If it were me, I would not be. That would be my plain and simple answer, regardless of how the holidays may complicate things. 
Second important question: what is your clinic’s holiday policy? Mine is open 365 days a year. If I need an ultrasound on Thanksgiving, I’m getting an ultrasound. If it’s my transfer day, it’s happening. Not all clinics are like this, so you should make sure. Some clinics won’t even let you start near a holiday in case, but others will chance it and you may have a failed cycle due to clinic closure. 
Third important question: how do you think you will be with your injections? This can be scary. I was terrified. To be honest, the subcutaneous ones aren’t bad. I even gave myself one (instead of my husband doing it) the other night and it was a breeze. (I have severe anxiety around blood draws and IVs) It is important to know that these have to happen between 7 and 9pm and my second to stop ovulation is 7 to 9 am. Mine do not need to be refrigerated, but some do and then are required to reach room temperature before being used. Obviously around the holidays, this process gets tough. Unless you are comfortable with shots on the fly, it could be a big source of stress for you. 
Fourth question: what are your holiday plans? You will need to be able to go to the clinic every other day for monitoring, in a specific time window. 
It is a big decision! Make sure you ask your dr any questions you have and really weigh what your priorities will be, your stress level, etc.

My clinic is open every day except Christmas Day, so I am praying to get mine in before the end of the year (for insurance purposes). If they want to move you up, it means they can accommodate. But you should ask them!

My clinic does a holiday shutdown. No one can start a cycle after Oct 30th or so, so they can close the clinic for a few days over Xmas. Those few days are the only time they aren’t there 7 days a week. If your clinic stays open, and offered you the spot, I’m sure they’ve got operational requirements under control.

I will be doing mine over the Christmas holiday after 3years of waiting,i cant think of anything more i want,ive waited sooo long 
my clinic is limited to what they do over  2 weeks of Christmas
But they said i can start in Dec  
I know i cant drink im willing to miss the partys and be getting up when i dont need but will all be worth it in the end😊

Well, they can't actually rush anything because everything is so dependent on how your body responds.  
One thing to keep in mind is that you will have to take daily injections at very specific times.  December is crazy busy for us, but honestly, the whole world stopped spinning for us when we did ivf.  That was the most important thing in our life, and our top priority.  Anything that overlapped with med time got shifted or skipped.
For example, say you have a holiday party from 6-8 one night, but your injection has to be taken at 7.  Go to the party, don't go, take meds with you?  Personally, I would have skipped the party, but it's just something to think about.
Another thought, when you say start ivf, will that be the beginning of bc or the beginning of stims.  That makes a difference.
Have you talked with your doc about fresh versus frozen transfer?  If you stim in Dec, you may not have the choice to do fresh, which may or may not be a factor for you.

If the clinic says they can do it, then I’d trust that they’re telling the truth and go for it. There’s enough waiting with IVF already. My clinic is open 365 days a year and will schedule your cycle when YOU want to schedule it, so I have found it very surprising to hear about clinics that close for holidays and schedule IVF on their terms. I had no idea clinics did that before I got on this app, so I’m now considering myself lucky. I wish you lots of luck!
