Can a female ovulate without getting her period?

I took out my IUD AUGUST 2019 and I’m TTC (have a baby) but I haven’t got a good period just spotting.. wondering what’s the next step or what should I expect besides waiting. Lol

Like lindsay said, you ovulate then have your period. Your period happens when your body recognizes that your egg has been released but hasn't been fertilized and basically purges it from your body along with your uterine lining.
