Why? Just WHY husband???

My husband is well educated and has a good job. We were both raised by blue collar parents and worked through school to get where we are now.

That said...he has the humor of the show jackass and South Park and thinks it’s funny to fart on ppl.

Around 3 months old this summer he laid our son on the pressure treated wood deck to play rather than sitting with him on the patio chair or couch right next to him. WHY would you lay a newborn on a stained and pressure treated wood surface pretty much ever? He complains sometimes about splinters in his feet and yet he puts our son down there?

Our son also loves the song the wheels on the bus go round and round. I know he doesn’t know words or lyrics yet, but DH is singing things like the wheels go up and down and the plane flaps go round and round. He has his private pilots license and someday will be in a unique position to teach our son so many amazing things. But instead he’s actively almost ANTI teaching him, and he thinks it’s hysterical. I have this image of my son at 5 years old being the smelly kid failing school bc of my husbands sense of humor.

I’m overreacting but I just don’t get the joke. I go out of my way to try and make playtime educational and he does the exact opposite.

And yes, I’m still on blood pressure medication and yes he still doesn’t see any connection to stress caused by his own behavior 😬
