ex problems

my ex and i had a really bad breakup about a year ago, police involvement. him and his new girl just broke up this week and he seems to be really upset about it. being the type of person i am, i want to ask him if he’s ok, despite everything he did to me. he was suicidal when we broke up so i want to make sure he is ok and not having those thoughts again but like i know it’s not my problem nor is it my business. any advice?
