My partner is 26 and hes came across a friend that's in his late 40s -50s idk, I also don't mind since they are into bikes and stuff and hes the only one those helps him when he needs a hand. ( way before I came into the picture ) 
Anyways not to sound selfish but I want a kid one day and hes on the Borderline which doesn't mind me one bit coz we are not ready for. I no he wants a little family just the way he talks about hes/ our  furniture kids 
But some how they where talking about getting the snip and my partner was quite interested in getting it to stop him having kid and sperm going into a opening 
I don't mind not having kids but this is taking it way too far especially at his age

I got sterilized at 22. If he wants to do it, you can’t stop him. But you should sit down and have a serious discussion whether you both are in the same page and want children or not. If he wants a vasectomy he has the legal right to have one. But I think it’s time to have a serious talk cause this may or may not dictate where the relationship will go.

Reversible, but expensive. And some insurance companies will cover the Vasectomy, but not its reversal. Just talk to him, that's all you can do. If it's still his choice, nothing you can do

he's a grown man who's capable of making his own decisions. also vasectomies aren't like female sterilisation procedures lol. it's reversible in case he ever decides to have kids. it's not a dramatic action for his age. he's 26. a vasectomy is unlikely to cause permanent damage.

Well he was never 100% keen on the idea of kids to begin with, from the sounds of it. I mean you said he was on the fence, maybe he just feels that his making his mind up more.
He's 26, not 16. People have a better idea of what they want at that stage of their lives.
Besides, just because he's talking about it doesn't mean he's going to follow through.
