Advice pls

My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years. I’m totally ready to get married and he knows that. He wants to marry me as well but he says he wants to be financially stable before we do anything.

I understand that but we both have money saved. I have around $5,000 saved and I’m still working and saving. He has way more than that. Like way more and he has a great job at a bank in the adjustment department. We both graduate in May 2020. I work in a production kitchen but I’m looking for a more big girl business job for after graduation.

Any way, all I’m asking is why is he still waiting? Should I just keep waiting for him. He says he wants to marry me but I’m worried that he’s just giving me excuses because he doesn’t wanna marry me.

I’m mostly upset because he told me about a year ago that we would get married right after we graduate but now he is telling me a different timeline. He is saying several years after we graduate he wants to get engaged. Idk I’m just feeling annoyed about it but don’t want to pressure him into a marriage if he doesn’t want to be with me.
