Has anyone asked to have a pelvic exam?

I see all these mamas on here that are dilated already.  Some are as far as I am currently (33w4d), so of course I want to know if I am dilated 😂 has anyone asked their doctor or midwife to check them out of curiosity?  I have an apt Wednesday, and I want to know now 😂

Honestly they shouldn’t be checking you early unless you’ve gone into triage with risk of preterm birth/ labour 
Your putting yourself at risk for infection, preterm, etc by getting checked before you should be

Mine doesnt until 39 weeks because they dont tell you anything.

My midwives never check unless requested, not even in labor, and I'm so happy with that. It is a rather irrelevant number, and they will be able to tell how far along I am in labor when it's happening by my sounds, movements, and reports of what I feel.

They don't in the UK unless there's an issue, which I'm happy about. Doesn't tell you much, gets expecting ladies hopes up... 
I'm good not knowing, aslong as babys heart rate is good and measuring fine, that's all this mama needs to know 👍

My doctor doesn’t unless you ask. It’s not necessary unless you’re high risk.
