Detox drinks?

Do detox drinks actually work? I’ve started putting cut lemons and limes in my water but has anyone else have tried them and have it work?

I would say it depends on what effect you are going for. Lemon is great in water, especially if it's in hot water first thing in the morning and before bed but be mindful that citrus can be very hard on the teeth. As someone who gets extremely inflamed and bloated from eating sugar or gluten, peppermint tea helps a lot, as well as green tea (hot or iced) with lemon, and also any tea with ginger is great for detoxing and reducing inflammation/bloat after having a poor diet. Detox drinks work in part because they make you more aware of how much you are drinking, so even if you aren't having a "detox" day, keeping yourself very hydrated helps immensely with over health. Also make water and fiber a priority, and make sure when you are detoxing that you don't forget to make sure you are meeting your daily caloric goal! Not eating enough is a great way to not see any progress and do more damage, just make good choices with your food and ensure its nutrient dense!
