Tying tubes after delivery

Hi there so i plan on getting my tubes tied after having baby my ob explained to me that it will be done the same day i deliver before they remove epidural But i forgot to ask her how long will i be staying there after surgery she said it will be a small cut near my bellybutton, so my question is has anyone here gotten their tubes tied after having baby and how long did you had to stay in hospital when i had my 12mo old we were released 48hrs after she was born (vag birth)
