Tired of being asked when we’re having another
I’ve always only wanted 1-2 kids and before my baby girl was born my husband and I had decided that if we did wanna have another baby we would wait until the first was 4/5.
It took us a little over a year to get pregnant and while my pregnancy and delivery where great I struggled after having her. It was a lot harder emotionally then I thought it would be and it took me a couple months to get back to myself and even now 5 months later I still have breakdowns. This on top of the stress of a new addition put some stress on my relationship that made me question myself more.
We decided that we weren’t going to have any more children because I know myself enough to know I couldn’t emotionally handle doing that again. And yet we are constantly being asked when we’re having another one and we say we decided (after long conversations) that we aren’t we’re met with comments about how wrong it is to let our LO be an only child, we’re gunna change our minds, we should have another. No matter how much we tell certain people they just keep pushing every time we talk to them and it’s getting frustrating.
I wish they would just understand that this wasn’t decided on a wim.
