So I scheduled a 3D/4D ultrasound in my hometown where both mine and DH parents still live. Nobody threw us a baby shower (second baby and another boy but it’s also been 5 years and we donated everything the first time so back to square one) so it was kinda my way of celebrating Baby Boy before his arrival. I had planned to do lunch after the ultrasound. Well my mom isn’t coming. First it was because my dad would be home and she wanted to stay home with him. (He’s a paramedic. 2on/4off). Now come to find out my dad is working and she still is saying she isn’t coming.

I seriously have to be one of the few people in the world with a mother who chooses not to come to something like this. My mind is just blown and my heart a little broken and I just needed to vent.
