Baby shower?

I don’t know what to do about a baby shower. My mom hasn’t mentioned anything about planning one, my sister in law wants to invite like, EVERYONE and that thought stresses me out. She also lives out of state and is horrible at planning so I don’t think that will even happen. We kind of need a shower because my youngest is 9 and I have no baby stuff left, but isn’t it weird to throw one for myself??

Im also planning my baby shower with my mom and sister but they are out of state. Everyone asks how i even know about the baby shower i just tell them that its my party and i want to be part of it. Its hard having someone else plan it out of state.

I had someone that offered to throw mine then backed out so I decided I would throw myself one. I did the basic planning and booking of venue, then asked my mom to help me out and my sister jumped on board too. So now they are throwing the shower pretty much.

Everybody in my family believes that a godparent should throw it lol neither of my kids have one 🤷🏽‍♀️ i planned and did my daughter’s baby shower and now I’m doing mine son’s! My sister is moving back to town so more than likely she’ll help and host again!

Personally I think it’s tacky to have a shower for a second kid, but to each their own. Separately, I don’t think it’s weird to throw your own. Some people don’t have family to throw them one, so why not do it yourself?
