Ok to get your hair colored?

Hi mamas! Super random question here but...is it safe to get your hair colored during the first trimester? I’m just 4w6d...and not sure how I’ll make it another few months without getting this hair taken care of 😳

I’ve read you shouldn’t do it during the first trimester and if you are going to dye your hair it should be highlights that way your scalp isn’t saturated with chemicals — but I’m sure you could find something that says the exact opposite 🤷🏻‍♀️

In most cases it's safe. I personally won't be coloring my hair this pregnancy, though.

As long as you are in a well ventilated area while the dye is on your hair, you are fine! 
Avoid bleach, and do not dye very often because the chemicals can be detrimental to babies health.

I’m 5 weeks and 3 days and I dyed my hair yesterday I just made sure all the windows were open

It’s fine, unless you’re bleaching it make sure there is enough air flow around you.
