Ultrasound

I see a lot of the women on here are getting an ultrasound before 9 weeks, around 5 or 6. Is this typical? I can’t remember when my first one was with my son, but I think it was that early and only because I requested it due to previous miscarriage. I remember them saying “we don’t usually do one before 12 weeks” but my insurance covered them and thank god they did, because I had a sub chorionic hemorrhage with my son. I want to request one around 9 weeks. Does this even reasonable? 🤔
