How did you dry up your milk supply when you were ready to stop breastfeeding?

Im planning to stop soon just wanted to know the most painless way possible.

I dropped one feeding a week. It worked amazingly well and I never suffered from engorgement or mastitis. It took 2 months to go from breastfeeding exclusively to completely weaning, but if you have the time and flexibility, I highly recommend it.

I took Sudafed and cold turkey’d any kind of nipple stimulation, including started taking cold showers. 
I wore extremely tight sports bras (2 at a time) and lots of ice packs 😩

You want to go slow so you dont hurt or get infections. I would start by taking away 1 feeding/pumping session for a week then gradually eliminate 1 at a time until you are done. I was able to completely wean in about 1-2 months.
