Would you be hurt/mad

My boyfriend and I have been together for a few months now and we’re still in the honeymoon stage. He had a work party today and a week or two ago I found out about it from my friend (who also works with him) I asked him about it and he didn’t wanna talk about it which isn’t a big deal. Then Friday he said he was only allowed to bring one person and he invited his friend Ellie. I was a little hurt then but I’ve met her and I trust him (she’s also gay so it’s nbd I know they wouldn’t do anything) but then yesterday he came over with a waiver to sign and said he’d try to bring me too I’d just go as our friends plus one. Then our friend couldn’t come so that meant he was gonna have to choose between me and Ellie. I am super non confrontational and I didn’t want to make Ellie feel bad so I just said to take her instead, and I’m kinda trying not to cry and I know he felt bad but I know he wanted to spend time with her. I told our friend and she thinks it’s rude for him to invite his friend instead of me especially when I asked about it before. Now I’m siting at home crying and overthinking shit because I miss him and I just feel hurt right now. He’s amazing and I’m falling for him, he’s so sweet and kind he’s perfect. I’m just really upset.
