Does anyone else find this horrifying

SLynn

Because my mother in law requested that I cover up or excuse myself rather than being so rude and disrespectful. She saw my friend casually nursing her daughter at my house and tald me she was "horrified." Not only do I find it perfectly natural but So does my husband and he paid a photographer did come take pictures for me to celebrate when we hit 6 months of breastfeeding.

Usually I don't pull out my whole breast in public (but it has been known to happen) but even if I did it shouldn't be an issue. The only time I try to excuse myself and walk away and nurse in private is when my 13 year old nephew is around. Not because he shouldn't see a mother nursing but because 13 year old boys can embarrass themselves if the wind blows the wrong way and I don't want him to be embarrassed. But I think I should be able to breastfeed and front of my mother and father-in-law. Especially since they keep pitching fits and insisting we bring the baby to their house which we don't do often. She said that my husband could bring the baby alone if I felt uncomfortable covering up. Sooooo we opt to not go at all. Anyone else have this sort of feedback? Isn't it so outdated?! (Tsk... Okay Boomer.)
